Difficult moments at night in Kadıköy: Water pipe burst! Water shot up meters high

The incident occurred around 22:30 on Celal Muhtar Street in the Rasimpaşa neighborhood. After a water pipe running under the street began to leak, neighborhood residents reported the situation to İSKİ teams. Later, the water pipe burst, causing damage to a shop on the street. Residents expressed their frustration, stating that the teams arrived approximately 2 hours after the call.

Ziya Balkan, who works at the damaged shop, said, "The water started leaking around 21:00. We called İSKİ at that time. They said they would come immediately. But no one came. Then the pipe burst and damaged my shop. Unfortunately, they arrived around 00:30. I really wonder, did they come from very far away, or are the authorities not doing their jobs? Water has been leaking from here for 15 days. We have been reporting it for 15 days. I suppose the burst happened due to the pressure. It caused damage to the surroundings. It damaged my shop, my workplace. The inside filled with water, I closed my workplace. It remained closed for hours. Then I cleaned it up and left, but unfortunately, why is no one doing their job? I just wonder about that," he said.
