Suicide attempt by Dilan Polat in prison! Flash statement from her lawyer

Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, a couple who frequently made headlines with their luxurious lifestyle and whose source of income was a subject of curiosity, were detained on November 1. The couple, who were under investigation for money laundering, tax evasion, and establishing a criminal organization, were arrested and sent to prison.

Dilan Polat, who is being held at Marmara Prison, suffered a nervous breakdown, asking, "Why is the release decision not being implemented?" It was learned that Dilan Polat, who harmed herself, is receiving treatment in prison.

Reacting to the fact that she was not released despite the sentences she received following the trial regarding the armed attack on Banu Parlak's beauty center—which the Dilan and Engin Polat couple were accused of instigating last year—Dilan Polat suffered a nervous breakdown and attempted to harm herself in prison.

“THERE WERE CUTS ON HER NECK AND LEGS”

Speaking to TELE1, Dilan Polat's lawyer Hüseyin Kaya said the following;

“The stages of the trials stressed her out a bit. She had a nervous breakdown. She also harmed herself. After she harmed herself, I met with her two days ago. She showed me the cuts. There were cuts and bruises on her neck, both legs, and arms. She said she was reacting to the fact that no release decision was issued in the trials and that she had a nervous breakdown. I met with her as well. Doctors took care of her. She is fine right now.”

Stating that he does not know the exact date of the suicide attempt, Kaya said, “She was using psychological medication before. They have adjusted them.”

Kaya also stated that he does not know what Polat used to harm herself, adding, “A fork is also a sharp object, after all. It is not a special tool. She did it with an object they were using.”
