Disabled person dies, mother injured in house fire in İzmir
A physically disabled person lost their life in a house fire in the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir, and their mother was injured while attempting to rescue them.
A fire broke out for reasons yet to be determined in the home of Umut Ç. (40), located on Kazım Karabekir Street in the Ulucak Cumhuriyet neighborhood of İzmir.
The mother, who was not in the house at the time, noticed the fire and entered the home to save her son.
Upon notification, fire, medical, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
The fire was extinguished through the intervention of the teams.
It was determined that Umut Ç., who was reported to live alone, had lost his life.
The injured mother was taken to the hospital.
