Dismissal processes for lieutenants from the TSK have begun
The dismissal process for the lieutenants who chanted "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" at their graduation ceremony has begun. Senior Lieutenant Talip İzzet Akarsu has been summoned to the High Disciplinary Board to present his defense. It has been learned that the file concerning the lieutenants will be reviewed on January 16, 2025.
The dismissal process from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has begun for the lieutenants who, following the graduation ceremony on August 30, crossed their swords among themselves, recited the Officer's Oath, and chanted, "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal."
According to the report by 12punto columnist and veteran journalist Müyesser Yıldız, the Land Forces Command High Disciplinary Board, which will deliberate on the dismissals, delivered its first notification this morning to Senior Lieutenant Talip İzzet Akarsu. Akarsu has been summoned to the High Disciplinary Board to present his defense on January 16.
It was noted that the notification sent to Akarsu stated the following:
"The meeting of the Land Forces Command High Disciplinary Board, where your status regarding the proceedings initiated against you for separation from the Armed Forces will be discussed, will be held on January 16, 2025, at 14:00."
"Regarding the matter; if you wish to provide an oral statement, you are required to submit a request via petition."
"Furthermore, you are required to be present at the specified date, time, and location in your number one daily uniform, and if you intend to provide an oral statement accompanied by your lawyer, you must provide the lawyer's information and submit their power of attorney."
