DNA samples matched: New development regarding Narin Güran's detained uncle

8-year-old Narin Güran went missing on August 21 after leaving a Quran course in the rural Tavşantepe Neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır.

While search efforts continue, Narin's uncle, Tavşantepe Neighborhood Headman Salim Güran, was taken into custody yesterday (August 31) as part of the investigation.

The DNA sample found in the uncle's vehicle had matched the DNA sample on Narin Güran's clothing. It was determined that the uncle had left the village 15 minutes after the moment Narin was last seen.

According to a report by Halk TV; it was discovered that the uncle used a special application to delete all messages and call records on his phone during the investigation.

STATEMENTS TAKEN FROM 130 PEOPLE

Approximately 150 vehicles identified as passing through the area during the hours Narin went missing were questioned. Searches were conducted in the houses in the neighborhood and in vehicles entering the village. To date, a total of 12 thousand 565 vehicles have been searched, statements have been taken from 130 people, 32 thousand 952 people have been checked, and searches have been carried out over an area of more than 11 thousand decares with 7 tracking dogs.
