Driver of car that collided with tour bus loses life
In the Serik district of Antalya, the driver of a car that collided with a tour bus has lost his life. Due to the impact, the car was dragged for 30 meters, while the tour bus mounted the median and crossed into the opposite lane before coming to a stop.
A tour bus with license plate 07 BKP 115, driven by Hüseyin K. (30), and a car with license plate 07 AKH 810, driven by Ali Yılmaz (20), collided at the Sanayi Junction on the D-400 highway. The car was dragged for approximately 30 meters due to the impact. The tour bus, after hitting iron railings on the median and palm trees, crossed into the opposite lane and stopped in front of a car dealership.
Upon notification, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Car driver Yılmaz, who was extracted from where he was trapped by the teams' efforts, could not be saved at the Serik State Hospital to which he was taken.
The tour bus driver and the 13 passengers in the same vehicle escaped the accident without injury. Osman Demirkapı, one of the bus passengers, stated in his remarks to journalists, "After colliding with the car, we mounted the median, crossed into the opposite lane, and stopped there."
On the other hand, the moment of the accident was captured by the security cameras of nearby businesses.
