Driver who ignored 'stop' order fined 60,819 liras
In Çorum, a driver who fled after failing to comply with a police "stop" order and was later found parked has been issued a fine of 60,819 liras.
According to the information received, S.A., the driver of the car with license plate 19 AED 352, fled after failing to comply with a "stop" order from police teams at a checkpoint in the city center.
Police teams found the car parked on Bağcılar 36th Street in the Gülabibey neighborhood.
A SCUFFLE BROKE OUT
While the teams were conducting an inspection, the driver and his friend B.S. arrived at the car and demanded that the police move away from the vehicle.
Following a scuffle that broke out, the driver and his friend were taken into custody by police teams.
The driver, who was taken to the police station, was fined 60,819 liras for refusing to blow into a breathalyzer, driving in the wrong direction, driving without a license, weaving through traffic, driving an uninsured vehicle, and endangering traffic safety.
The vehicle was banned from traffic.
