Drug operation in Hakkari: 503 kilograms of cannabis seized

A large quantity of narcotics was seized as part of an operation targeting drug manufacturers in Hakkari. The Ministry of Interior announced that 503 kilograms of cannabis were seized and one suspect was apprehended during the operation carried out by gendarmerie teams.

OPERATION CONDUCTED FOLLOWING INTELLIGENCE WORK

The operation was carried out under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes, the 7th Border Regiment Command, and the Yüksekova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

As part of the investigation, the operation was launched following intelligence work conducted by teams from the Hakkari Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch.

503 KILOGRAMS OF CANNABIS SEIZED

A total of 503 kilograms of cannabis were seized during the operation conducted by the teams at the identified address.

One suspect was apprehended and taken into custody as part of the operation.
