Drunk and unlicensed driver poses after 'accident': 'If I weren't high, I would have given an interview'

A major accident occurred around 01:30 at night on Yunus Emre Street in the Kurtuluş neighborhood of Eskişehir. According to allegations, the car with license plate 11 DC 783, driven by 25-year-old Aydın Han S., lost control and first struck a parked luxury vehicle with license plate 34 CHN 812, and then hit a recycling vehicle with license plate 26 ALS 833 that was stopped on the side of the road.

Due to the impact, the recycling vehicle, which had a woman named Nurgül K. (37) as a passenger inside, was thrown approximately 50 meters, overturned, and landed on its side. The unfortunate woman was trapped under the vehicle and injured.

Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams that arrived in the area shortly after provided the first intervention to Nurgül K., who was pulled from under the overturned vehicle. The injured woman, who was found to have multiple fractures in her body, was taken to Yunus Emre State Hospital by ambulance. According to the doctors' initial assessment, the woman's life is not in danger.

Following the accident, checks revealed that the driver, Aydın Han S., had a blood alcohol level of 1.50 promille and was driving without a license. Authorities determined that the individual had previously been caught driving under the influence, which led to his license being confiscated. According to the information obtained, the driver will not be able to get his license back until 2036.

Interesting moments also occurred after the accident. The drunk driver, Aydın Han S., who had difficulty standing at times at the scene, posed next to his damaged car while members of the press were filming. Furthermore, he turned to the cameras and said, "Brother, write that 'he hit it by mistake.' Don't make me look like the guilty one in the news, brother. If I weren't high, I would have given an interview."

Recycling waste scattered across the road due to the accident was cleaned up by municipal teams. While the heavily damaged car was removed from the scene with the help of a tow truck, the luxury vehicle also sustained material damage.

Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident to take the statement of the drunk driver.
