Earthquake in Sivas

According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.4-magnitude tremor was recorded with its epicenter in the Gürün district.

The earthquake was determined to have occurred at a depth of 5.33 kilometers.

Following the 4.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Gürün district of Sivas, the Sivas Governor's Office issued a statement. The statement indicated that there were no negative reports.

The earthquake, which occurred at 01:27 in the Gürün district of Sivas, caused brief panic. According to a post on AFAD's social media account, it was announced that the 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers.

Following the earthquake, the Sivas Governor's Office also made a written statement on its social media account. Stating that there are currently no negative reports, the statement said, “Following the 4.4-magnitude earthquake in our province's Gürün district, all teams from AFAD and our relevant institutions have been directed to conduct field surveys.

As of now, there are no reported negative situations. We extend our best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake.”
