Education suspended for 1 day in İskenderun
Due to heavy rainfall, puddles formed on some streets and manholes overflowed.
It has been announced that education has been suspended for tomorrow in the İskenderun district of Hatay due to severe rainfall and storms.
In a post shared on the social media account of İskenderun District Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, it was stated, "Due to sea flooding on main streets and boulevards caused by the storm, schools in İskenderun have been closed for tomorrow."
In the İskenderun district, which was affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, the heavy rainfall that began yesterday has negatively impacted daily life.
Due to the downpour, puddles formed on some streets and manholes overflowed.
As a result of the rising sea level caused by the rain and storm, water accumulated at Anıt Square and Atatürk Boulevard in the coastal area.
Drivers had difficulty navigating traffic due to the water accumulation on the roads.
While some homes and businesses on the ground floors of buildings were flooded, citizens worked to clear the water from their properties.
In İskenderun, where the rainfall continues, municipal and traffic teams have taken precautions to prevent disruptions.
