Due to the adverse weather conditions affecting Istanbul, education has been suspended for one day on Monday, November 20, in primary and secondary schools in the Şile district.
EDUCATION ALSO SUSPENDED IN ZONGULDAK
A severe storm in the Western Black Sea region has negatively impacted life in Zonguldak. Due to the storm gripping the city, education has been suspended for 1 day.
The statement also noted that disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions and organizations will be considered on administrative leave on November 20, 2023.

Heavy rainfall and storms throughout the day have negatively affected life across the Akçakoca district of Düzce. In the district, where adverse weather conditions continue, many homes and businesses have been flooded, roofs have been blown off, and trees have been uprooted.
In a statement from the District Governorate, it was stated, "Due to the adverse weather conditions affecting our district, education has been suspended for 1 day on Monday, November 20, 2023."
In the Yığılca district, schools were closed on Monday, November 20, due to adverse weather conditions.
In a statement made by the Yığılca District Governorate, it was said: “Due to the continuation of snowfall and adverse weather conditions across our district, and the potential transportation problems caused by icing on the roads, in order to ensure the safety of our students and staff, it has been decided to suspend education for (1) one day on Monday, November 20, 2023, in all types and levels of public and private formal and non-formal education institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, special education and rehabilitation centers, special education courses, and nurseries and preschool education institutions belonging to other public institutions and organizations.
Furthermore, among the employees of public institutions and organizations; pregnant, disabled, dialysis patients, and civil servants and other public officials with chronic severe illnesses such as heart and kidney failure, cancer, etc., will be considered on administrative leave for 1 (one) day on Monday, November 20.”
