EGM announces: Legal action taken against 14 social media accounts!
The General Directorate of Security has announced that legal action has been initiated against the administrators of 14 suspicious accounts deemed to have made provocative and disinformation-filled posts.
Reactions are growing following the police blockade of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency. The General Directorate of Security has taken action following posts made on social media.
In a post shared on the General Directorate of Security's social media account, the following statements were included: "Following the work carried out by our General Directorate of Security, 14 suspicious account administrators, who were assessed to have made provocative and disinformation-filled posts on certain social media accounts within the scope of the crimes of 'Inciting the Public to Hatred and Hostility' and 'Inciting to Commit a Crime,' have been identified and legal action has been initiated against them. Our efforts to identify accounts making provocative and disinformation-filled posts by our General Directorate of Security are continuing."
