Election broadcast bans have begun

According to the decision of the Supreme Election Council (YSK), which determines the procedures and principles regarding political advertisements as set forth in Article 31 of the Law on the Establishment and Broadcasting Services of Radio and Television, broadcast bans will begin as of tonight and will continue until the time to be announced by the YSK on Sunday, March 31, the day of voting.

During this period, the broadcasting of political advertisements, as well as news, predictions, and commentary regarding the election and election results by television, radio, and all other media outlets, will be considered within the scope of the broadcast ban.

Oral, written, and visual propaganda activities of political parties and candidates participating in the election may be broadcast in media outlets until 18:00 tomorrow.

RTÜK also issued a warning stating that "in accordance with YSK decisions, the broadcasting of political advertisements is prohibited from 23:59 today until election day, and that media service providers may broadcast the oral, written, and visual propaganda activities of political parties and candidates participating in the election until 18:00 tomorrow."
