Election preparations in the AKP begin on that date: Critical instruction from Erdoğan to ministers

The AKP is continuing its work for the 2028 elections through internal party meetings and field assessments. In this context, it was stated that the meetings held between cabinet members and members of parliament have begun to be conducted using a new method.

MINISTERS MEET WITH PROVINCIAL MPS

According to information provided by party sources, instead of the meetings previously held in groups, the members of parliament for each province are now meeting with the relevant ministers individually. The meetings address ongoing investments in the cities, regional demands, and complaints received from citizens.

It is stated that cabinet members, led by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, are holding regular meetings with members of parliament. It was noted that the MPs convey the problems and incomplete projects in their electoral districts to the relevant ministers, and the prepared reports are submitted to the Presidency of Strategy and Budget.

UNFINISHED PROJECTS ON THE AGENDA

According to a report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, it was stated that unfinished public investments stand out in the meetings, and that projects in the field of health are among the top priorities in terms of demands.

It is alleged that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has also instructed cabinet members to finalize incomplete investments in the provinces. Furthermore, it was reported that assessments are being made to accelerate the process for urgent service requests.

ECONOMY AND REFORMS ALSO ON THE TABLE

In these consultation meetings, not only local investments but also the topic of the economy is being addressed. It was stated that economic developments in Turkey and the world, structural reform efforts, and the party's policies for the upcoming period are on the meeting agenda.

PREPARATIONS FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

On the other hand, it was stated that the AKP is preparing a new manifesto as part of its 25th anniversary, which will be celebrated on August 14. It was noted that the party leadership plans to treat the anniversary as the beginning of the election campaign process.

In this context, it was stated that the goal is to announce the work being carried out to the public more broadly in conjunction with the anniversary events.
