Elections annulled in Aksaray's Güzelyurt, where IYI Party won
The District Election Board has annulled the election in the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, which was won by the IYI Party, following an objection by the AKP.
In the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, AKP members objected to the election results, alleging that "ineligible voters" had cast ballots.
Following an investigation, the District Election Board accepted the objection and decided to annul the election and hold a re-run.
DECISIONS TO BE FINALIZED BY APRIL 7
Objections against the decisions of district election boards can be filed until 5:00 PM on Friday, April 5.
These objections will be finalized by provincial election boards by 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 7.
According to unofficial results, IYI Party candidate Hazim Turan had won the mayoral race in Güzelyurt with 549 votes.
AKP candidate Ünal Demircioğlu had received 548 votes.
