Phone call from Erdoğan to the Emir of Qatar: We condemn any attack that violates Qatar's sovereignty
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
According to the statement shared on the social media account of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the meeting addressed bilateral relations between Turkey and Qatar, as well as regional and global issues.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that Turkey condemns any attack that violates Qatar's sovereignty and that Turkey will always stand by its Qatari brothers.
Noting that he held talks with his counterparts regarding the military escalation between Iran and Israel during the NATO summit, Erdoğan expressed his hope that the parties would adhere to a de facto ceasefire and that the established calm would be made permanent.
