Erdoğan passes the buck to the minister: Disappointment for teachers awaiting appointment news

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired the Cabinet Meeting, which has now concluded. The closed-door meeting at the Presidential Complex lasted approximately 3.5 hours.

Following the meeting, Erdoğan addressed the citizens. While discussing plans to lower inflation, Erdoğan also stated that the Minister of National Education would announce the calendar for teacher appointments tomorrow.

Highlights from Erdoğan's speech are as follows:

"This morning, our national combat aircraft Kaan met the skies for the second time. I congratulate TUSAŞ and the Defense Industry Agency for twice filling our nation with pride since the beginning of the year.

Our trade volume with African countries has reached 37 billion dollars.

Regardless of what anyone says, Turkey graduates play a role in the rapid progress of our relations with the continent. Moreover, they are trying to pay their debt of gratitude to our country by promoting Turkey and Turkish products. Turkey's share of international student mobility has increased. There are 340 thousand students from 198 countries in Turkey.

"THEIR CONCERN IS NEITHER TURKEY NOR TURKISH"

It is truly regrettable for Turkish politics that opposition circles are leaning toward radical fascism with some of their rhetoric and actions. The same sick mentality lies behind the resurfacing allergy to Arabic. Their concern is neither Turkey nor Turkish. These are pathetic individuals trying to satisfy their egos by constantly directing their inner malice and hatred toward others. Protecting one's homeland does not mean discriminating or turning foreign tourists, students, and refugees into objects of hatred. We will never allow, and we will not allow, these fascist looters who undermine tourism with an annual income of 54.3 billion. We will take more decisive and deterrent steps in terms of criminal law to combat hate crimes.

"WE WILL PERFORM SURGERY"

Iraq has declared the PKK a banned organization. We expect the PKK to be declared a terrorist organization. The scourge of terrorism is also a major source of threat for Iraq.

We cannot feel safe as long as the PKK finds living space in Iraq and Syria.

HAMAS HAS ACCEPTED THE CEASEFIRE

We were pleased that Hamas announced its acceptance of the ceasefire following our suggestions. Now, the same step must be taken by Israel. Western countries must pressure Israel for peace.

Credit rating agencies are also upgrading our ratings one by one. I would like to touch upon an important point here.

In Gabar, which we have cleared of terrorism, we have reached a daily production of 40 thousand barrels of oil. However, this does not change the fact that we are dependent on foreign energy.

MAY 1ST

Despite our sincere call, the images in Saraçhane have cast a shadow over the spirit of May 1st and provided material for marginal groups that do not want normalization in politics and society.

WHEN WILL INFLATION FALL?

We are determined to bring inflation down to single digits with the right policies. We have done this before, and hopefully, we will succeed again. Our goal is not temporary relief, but permanent prosperity growth. We have demonstrated our confidence in our economic policy. There will be no turning back from this.

Annual inflation will hopefully start to decline from the summer months onwards. The current account deficit has fallen to 31.8 billion dollars. We completed the first 3 months in tourism with records. We generated 9 billion dollars in tourism revenue.

The Medium-Term Program (OVP) is working successfully. Our country's risk premium has fallen from 700 basis points to 290 basis points.

We need to spread the culture of savings internally. We will take steps toward a culture of savings in many areas.

TOUCHED ON THE EDUCATION MODEL

We also evaluated education and the curriculum. The "Maarif Model," which our Ministry has opened for public review, will prepare our youth for a virtuous future. Instead of a rigid education model, it is a necessity to have a youth that questions and is equipped with national and spiritual values.

We also deliberated on our teachers awaiting appointments. After one final meeting with our Treasury Minister and Minister of National Education, our ministers will announce the calendar tomorrow.

Our minister will announce the appointment calendar without wasting much time."
