Erdoğan prepares for party organization and cabinet reshuffle: 4-5 ministers may be replaced

Recent public opinion polls and field assessments within the AKP have brought the need for radical changes in party ranks back to the table. While it is stated in the corridors that four or five ministers could be replaced, new names are expected to take office, especially in economic management and areas criticized by the public. A fresh dynamism in the cabinet is targeted with these changes.

ERDOĞAN IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE HEADQUARTERS

It is stated that the biggest change within the party will take place through an extraordinary congress. It is noted that Erdoğan is not satisfied with the performance of the headquarters management and that criticisms directed at the deputy chairmen, in particular, have increased. In the evaluations made within the party, the view that "the deputy chairmen have become detached from society and have not done enough field work" comes to the fore. They could not grow the party, they could not bring the voters back." Changes to the Central Decision and Executive Board and many deputy chairmen are also among the expectations at the extraordinary congress.

REGULATION PLAN FOR PENSIONS AND MINIMUM WAGE

In the economic field, as an important part of election preparations, regulations that will find a response in the public, especially regarding pensions, minimum wage, and social assistance, may come to the agenda. The period after January is pointed to for the regulations in question. According to party circles, the goal is to increase the purchasing power of voters with a package of financial regulations.

In light of all these developments, it is stated that Erdoğan plans to enter a possible early election in May 2027 with a strong and renewed staff through steps ranging from organizational restructuring to cabinet changes, and from economic moves to the renewal of party management.
