Erdoğan reacts to attack on Israeli Consulate: 'They will not be able to disrupt Turkey's peace'

Erdoğan reacts to attack on Israeli Consulate: 'They will not be able to disrupt Turkey's peace'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made assessments regarding the agenda at the ROKETSAN Production Facilities Opening, Mass Production Deliveries, and Groundbreaking Ceremony held in the Lalahan district of Ankara.

One of the prominent topics in Erdoğan's speech was the terror attack attempt that took place earlier in the day in front of the Israeli Consulate in Beşiktaş.

Stating that security forces intervened at the scene immediately following the attack, Erdoğan used the following words regarding the developments:

"First of all, I want it to be known that we condemn the treacherous attack that took place in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, around noon today, which was thwarted by the successful intervention of our heroic security forces. In the heinous terrorist act, 3 terrorists were neutralized, one dead and two wounded, and 2 of our heroic police officers were slightly injured during the intervention. Both our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and our security and intelligence units have rapidly launched the necessary investigations regarding the attack.

I wish a speedy recovery to our injured police officers from Almighty Allah, and I convey my best wishes to the Istanbul Police Department and the people of Istanbul. We will continue our fight against all forms of terrorism with determination, and we will not allow the climate of security in Turkey to be harmed by base and timed provocations like today's."

THREE TERRORISTS NEUTRALIZED

In the incident that took place in Beşiktaş, according to initial statements, a total of three terrorists were neutralized, one dead and two wounded. It was announced that two police officers were also slightly injured during the intervention. It was reported that the relevant prosecutor's office, as well as security and intelligence units, have launched an investigation.
