Erdoğan signs: Assets of 20 individuals and 18 organizations frozen

With a decision signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, the freezing of assets belonging to 20 individuals and 18 organizations has been ordered in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions. The list includes the "Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Bank Sepah," as well as various nuclear research centers.

Erdoğan signs: Assets of 20 individuals and 18 organizations frozen

A Presidential Decree regarding changes to the list of individuals and organizations whose assets are to be frozen in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions has been published in a duplicate issue of the Official Gazette, signed by AKP Chairman and President Tayyip Erdoğan.

The decision published in the Official Gazette bears the title, "Decision Regarding Amendments to the Annex-5 List of the Presidential Decree No. 3578 Dated 24/2/2021 on the Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718 (2006) and Subsequent Resolutions, and Resolution 2231 (2015)."

According to the decision, the supplementary list regarding the freezing of assets was enacted based on Articles 2 and 3 of Law No. 7262 on the Prevention of the Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The assets of the individuals and organizations added to the list under the Presidential Decree No. 10438 dated October 1, 2025, have been frozen. It was also announced that the decision would enter into force as of the date of its publication and that the implementation would be monitored by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

Individuals and institutions whose assets have been frozen may file objections by applying to the Inspection and Cooperation Commission to be forwarded to the UNSC, in accordance with the relevant article of Law No. 7262.
