Erdoğan signs one after another: Privatizations show no signs of stopping

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan has approved the decisions of the Privatization Administration (ÖİB) regarding real estate sales, transfer of operating rights, and zoning plan changes. Millions of liras worth of public property, from Bodrum to Bozcaada, have been sold.

According to the decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the sale and transfer of operating rights for numerous valuable real estate properties and facilities registered to the Privatization Administration (ÖİB), Sümer Holding, and Electricity Generation Inc. (EÜAŞ) have been officially approved.

Here are those critical locations privatized with tender prices in the millions of liras and the winning companies:

''MILLIONS OF LIRAS FOR LAND IN BODRUM AND ŞİLE''

The companies that submitted the highest bids in the privatization tenders and the approved major sale prices drew attention:

•Muğla Bodrum (Gökçebel): The properties in question were sold for 654 million liras to Fem Yatırım İnşaat ve Ticaret AŞ, which submitted the highest bid.

•Istanbul Şile (Balibey): The valuable property went to Fuzul Topraktan Gayrimenkul Yatırım Danışmanlık AŞ for 505 million liras.

•Antalya Manavgat (Sorkun): One of the two separate properties was sold to Akas Enerji Ltd. Şti for 149 million liras, and the other to the Hüseyin Şahin-Ahmet Şahin-Mehmet Ali Şahin Joint Venture Group for 119 million liras.

•Muğla Ula (Akyaka): The property in the tourist region was given to the company Besmak Laboratuvar ve İnşaat Test Makinaları for 106 million 500 thousand liras.

•Ankara Çankaya (Çayyolu): The property registered to the ÖİB was sold to the company Sezerler Züccaciye İnşaat for 84 million liras.

''BOZCAADA WIND POWER PLANT ALSO TRANSFERRED''

Critical assets belonging to Sümer Holding and Electricity Generation Inc. (EÜAŞ) also received their share of the privatization scope.

The operating rights for the Bozcaada Wind Power Plant (RES) in Çanakkale, registered to EÜAŞ, and the area where the plant is located, were transferred to YLE Enerji Elektrik Üretim AŞ, which submitted the highest bid of 735 million liras. The property belonging to Sümer Holding in Nevşehir Center was sold to Fatih Mıhcı for 81 million liras.

''ZONING ADJUSTMENT FOR 'COUPON' LAND IN ÇANKAYA''

In addition to the sales decisions, a critical step was taken for a plot of land belonging to the Treasury of Finance in the Alacaatlı neighborhood of Çankaya, one of the most valuable regions of Ankara. The master and implementation zoning plan changes prepared for the property, which introduce usage decisions for the region as "development housing, municipal service, kindergarten, primary school, middle school, high school, and social facility area," were approved by Erdoğan.
