Erdoğan speaks on military plane crash in Georgia!
High-level statements have come from Turkey regarding the military cargo plane that crashed on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border. President Erdoğan, Interior Minister Yerlikaya, and Communications Director Duran made assessments regarding the accident.
The Ministry of National Defense announced that a C130 military cargo plane departing from Azerbaijan has crashed in Georgia. Search and rescue operations were launched rapidly following the incident.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at an event themed "City and Space in Our Civilization," said, "The crash of our military plane, which was coming to our country from Azerbaijan, has deeply saddened us. Hopefully, we will emerge from this accident with the least amount of trouble. May God have mercy on our martyrs."
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that he spoke with Georgian Interior Minister Gela Geladze regarding the accident. Yerlikaya expressed, "Search and rescue efforts are ongoing. I extend my best wishes to our dear nation."
Presidency Communications Director Burhanettin Duran emphasized that attention should be paid to statements from official institutions to ensure the flow of accurate information to the public. Duran said, "It is important that unverified information is not shared."
These statements made from Turkey following the accident have once again highlighted the seriousness of the incident and the importance of the search and rescue efforts.
