Erdoğan speaks on the explosion in Balıkesir: Targets the opposition once again
President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that the investigation into the explosion in Balıkesir is being conducted meticulously, while criticizing statements made by the main opposition. Erdoğan also lashed out at the former leader of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is speaking at his party's 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Balıkesir.
Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:
"Judicial and administrative investigations into the incident began immediately. Our pain is great. Even though their grief is indescribable, our families are acting with extreme fortitude. The investigation to uncover the causes of the explosion is being carried out in a multi-faceted and meticulous manner. The investigation to uncover the causes of the explosion is being carried out in a multi-faceted and meticulous manner. In the first stage, 10 people have been detained. If there is anyone who has made a mistake, is at fault, or has been negligent, the necessary actions will be taken against them.
THE EXPLOSION IN BALIKESİR
None of our families who have lost loved ones should have any doubts about this. Because there were loss of lives in the explosion, not only was Balıkesir shaken, but all 85 million of us were deeply saddened. You see, even before the funerals have taken place, the chairman of the main opposition party is making extremely unfortunate statements. This is neither moral nor conscientious. The opposition should account for the 29 workers who lost their lives in the entertainment center with licensing issues in Gayrettepe, Beşiktaş. They should not try to drag us into their politics that lack a conscience."
HITLER-WANNABE AMBITIOUS PEOPLE
The humanitarian crisis that has been ongoing in Syria for 13 years has ended with a revolution. Throughout the humanitarian crisis in Syria, we had 3.6 million of our brothers and sisters whom we hosted in our country. We were subjected to many unscrupulous attacks; they tried every kind of provocation. During the May 14-28 elections, there even emerged Hitler-wannabe ambitious people who targeted these oppressed people.
MR. KEMAL SHOULD NOT TAKE OFFENSE
They are constantly trying to remind people of themselves by attacking us on social media. They will not be able to escape being wiped away into the dusty shelves of history. Mr. Kemal should not take offense; even we cannot save him from that well into which he was thrown by his friends. Even we cannot remove that rusty dagger he took in his back."
