Searches were conducted at the homes of 3 police officers who were mentioned in the investigation into the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization and were suspended by the Ministry of Interior.

Following this development, MHP Chairman Bahçeli stated in a press release that this situation was a conspiracy that could not be brushed off by suspending a few police chiefs, and commented: "If we bow down to those planning a repeat of the 17-25 December police and judiciary-backed coup attempt, may we be disgraced."

ALLEGATION OF A MEETING AT THE PALACE

According to the claim by Sabah Newspaper News Coordinator Abdurrahman Şimşek, following these remarks by Bahçeli, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan met with Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç and MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın at the Presidential Palace in the evening, and it was decided to take important steps regarding the matter.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

An investigation has been launched regarding the audio videos and voice recordings reflected in the media of fugitive defendant Serdar Sertçelik, who is facing a life sentence, within the scope of the investigation into the armed criminal organization known in the public as the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization, which is being conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Smuggling and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau.

MATERIALS SEIZED

In the ongoing investigation into the 3 suspect police officers for the crimes of "conspiracy to commit a crime," "attempting to influence fair trial and witnesses," "misconduct in office," and "aiding and abetting a criminal," searches were conducted at the suspects' residences to seize digital materials.

Furthermore, a confidentiality order was issued regarding the investigation. It was noted that the investigation is also continuing regarding all public officials who were negligent in the illegal escape of fugitive defendant Serdar Sertçelik abroad.

Hürriyet Newspaper Ankara Representative Hande Fırat provided the following information regarding the meeting:

President Erdoğan met with Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç and MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın at the Presidential Palace. This was a meeting planned for the previous evening.

It is stated that he wanted to receive information from both individuals simultaneously regarding accumulated issues.

In fact, the meeting, which was originally on his schedule for the previous evening, was moved to last night. Of course, we can say that every current issue is on the agenda.

We can say that not only the issues brought to the agenda by MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli yesterday, but also developments in the judiciary and intelligence fields were discussed.
