Furthermore, it is suggested that some deputy chairmen who are also members of parliament may be assigned to take on more effective roles in the Parliament. It is also noted that some prominent figures who have served in the party for a long time may be "rested."

Erdoğan, who closely follows the provincial congresses, most recently attended the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AKP in Istanbul.
