AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is beginning his foreign visits following the local elections.
During his official visit to Baghdad, Erdoğan will first meet with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid. He will then meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
WHICH TOPICS WILL BE ADDRESSED DURING THE VISIT?
The most important agenda items of the visit will include the fight against terrorism, the use of water resources, and the flow of natural gas and oil to Turkey.
Turkey plans to establish a joint operations center with Iraq against terrorism. It is anticipated that this center will also be on the agenda during Erdoğan's visit.
Another topic in the critical meeting is Iraq's water problem. Erdoğan had previously stated that they are aware of Iraq's expectations regarding water and that efforts are ongoing to meet them. Significant steps are also expected to be taken in this direction.
ERBIL AFTER BAGHDAD
Following his official visit in Baghdad, Erdoğan will also travel to Erbil.
