Erdoğan's call in Tokat to Tokat residents in Istanbul and Ankara: 'I want you to call them'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan requested votes for the local elections in Istanbul and Ankara during his party's rally in Tokat. 

Erdoğan spoke in Tokat as part of the March 31 local election campaign. 

Speaking in front of the Hüseyin Akbaş Sports Hall, Erdoğan asked Tokat residents residing in Istanbul and Ankara to vote for the People's Alliance.

Erdoğan said, "The Tokat population in Istanbul is high. I want you to call all your acquaintances in Istanbul."

Regarding inflation, Erdoğan stated in his speech, "You know better than anyone how salary raises melt away before price stability is achieved."

In his speech, Erdoğan also targeted the Republican People's Party (CHP) and the DEM Party. 

Highlights from Erdoğan's speech are as follows:

"I asked the police, there are 45 thousand people here. Mashallah. Hopefully, on March 31, Tokat will once again plant the flag of national will at the very top and do what is worthy of itself. 

The Tokat population in Istanbul is high. I want you to call all your acquaintances in Istanbul. We will save them from CHP oppression. We want the same for Ankara.

With your choice, you will send a message to Turkey and the world. 

The issue is not the AK Party, the issue is Turkey itself.

The opposition is in a pitiful state; they cannot even turn around and look at the state of the country. 

Perhaps things run on talk within the CHP. Some ask why we attach so much importance to the March 31 elections. Our politics centers on the nation. Going to our cities does not tire us.

HE REQUESTED VOTES FROM TOKAT RESIDENTS FOR ISTANBUL AND ANKARA

Let us send greetings from Tokat to Istanbul and Ankara. We will ask for similar messages to be sent from Çorum to Ankara and Istanbul. 

This is our 18th ballot test since we came to power. We have run with the same passion and enthusiasm in all of them. As we run with our nation, we feel renewed. You will not leave us alone in Tokat, Istanbul, or Ankara on March 31. 

Let alone the country, they cannot even ensure unity within their own parties.  

"CHP WALKING WITH DEM IS NOT UNDERSTANDABLE"

You see who is coaching the alliance they entered with DEM just to get 3-5 more municipalities, right? Where does the instruction come from? From Qandil. The instruction is from Qandil, the implementation is from Istanbul. The structure you call DEM is an organizational apparatus that has been acting like a party for a long time. You cannot conduct party politics or municipal administration with politicians who are slapped by organization militants. The CHP's calculation to walk with such a party is not understandable.

MESSAGE TO RETIREES

We are aware that workers and retirees are suffering the most. Our public banks started accepting applications as of today. We are depositing our retirees' holiday bonuses between April 2-5. It is clear that the problems we face as a country will not be solved with words. You know better than anyone how salary raises melt away before price stability is achieved. Starting from next year, we plan to raise the purchasing power of retirees and workers above what it was in the past. As long as nothing happens to our unity and solidarity.  

As President, my minister friends and local administrators will join hands and we will carry our cities to a more advanced point."
