Diplomatic traffic from Erdoğan for hostages

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan continues to conduct intense diplomatic traffic regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

According to AA, Erdoğan held phone calls with King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During his talks, Erdoğan discussed the latest developments within the framework of the clashes between Israel and Palestine.

In his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has initiated efforts to deliver aid to innocent civilians affected by the attacks, that the bombing of civilian settlements is unacceptable, and that it is important for regional countries to send constructive messages to end the clashes.

In his meeting with President Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Erdoğan also stated that the goal is to end the tension before it spreads to other countries in the region and to open a path to reach a just peace through negotiations, adding that Turkey expects the support of the international community, especially regional countries, for its sincere and peaceful efforts.

In his meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan, Erdoğan stated that there should be vigilance against the possibility of the clashes spreading throughout the region, and expressed that Turkey is ready to provide all kinds of support, including mediation, to end the tension.

Journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy said today on the program "Nedir, Ne Değildir?" (What is it, what is it not?) that while Erdoğan is making statements to prevent further escalation of tension in the region, he has also given instructions to conduct the negotiation process for the hostages, and that the talks are being carried out by the National Intelligence Organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Presidency.
