Erdoğan's 'Lausanne' message: We are in a better position than yesterday
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President and Chairman of the AKP, issued a message on the 102nd anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, stating, "Today, we are in a better position than yesterday in every field; God willing, we will be at much better levels tomorrow."
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a statement on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the historic Treaty of Lausanne, which registered the independence of the Republic of Türkiye.
In his written message, Erdoğan stated that Lausanne is one of the most important documents that ensured the international recognition of the Republic of Türkiye, noting, "Today is the 102nd anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, which registered and confirmed our noble nation's will for independence and its struggle before international law. 102 years after Lausanne, our country's journey of development and prosperity continues with determination under the vision of the Century of Türkiye."

"Today, we are in a better position than yesterday in every field; God willing, we will be at much better levels tomorrow," said Erdoğan, adding at the end of his message that he commemorates the founder of the Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all the heroes of the War of Independence with mercy and gratitude.

102 years after Lausanne, our country's journey of development and prosperity continues with determination under the vision of the Century of Türkiye.
With our foreign policy based on peace, cooperation, and mutual respect, we are walking with confident steps toward becoming an influential power in our region and the world.
Today, we are in a better position than yesterday in every field; God willing, we will be at much better levels tomorrow.
On the 102nd anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, I once again commemorate the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal, as well as the heroes of the National Struggle and all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the homeland with mercy; I remember our veterans with gratitude."
