Erdoğan's message on the 101st anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "As a beacon of stability in its region, Turkey continues its journey of development, which it has maintained for exactly 101 years, with determination today as well."
President Erdoğan issued a message on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne.
In his message, stating that thanks to the Treaty of Lausanne, the victory the nation achieved against the invaders occupying its homeland was also confirmed internationally, Erdoğan noted the following:
"Today is the 101st anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, which we consider the founding document of the Republic of Turkey. As a beacon of stability in its region, Turkey continues its journey of development, which it has maintained for exactly 101 years, with determination today as well.
In a period where a new crisis erupts every day and uncertainties about the future are increasing, our country is focused on the goals of the Century of Turkey. God willing, no one will be able to stand in the way of our will to leave our nation's mark on the century we are in.
As a nation, we are walking toward our bright future in unity and solidarity, without tiring and without taking a step back in the face of difficulties and attacks.
With these thoughts, on the 101st anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, I commemorate with mercy the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal, his comrades-in-arms, and our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our independence, and I wish our veterans a healthy and prosperous life."
