Eurozone trade surplus reaches 16.4 billion Euros

The Eurozone recorded a foreign trade surplus of 16.4 billion Euros in November 2023.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has released the foreign trade data for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone for November.

According to the data, the EU's exports decreased by 1.2 percent in November compared to the same period last year, falling to 223.1 billion Euros, while imports increased by 0.1 percent to reach 208.8 billion Euros. The EU recorded a foreign trade surplus of 14.3 billion Euros during this period.

In the Eurozone, exports fell by 1.6 percent in November compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 248.3 billion Euros. Imports decreased by 1 percent to 231.9 billion Euros. With these results, the Eurozone recorded a foreign trade surplus of 16.4 billion Euros in November.

The countries that imported the most from EU countries were the USA with 46.8 billion Euros, the UK with 29.8 billion Euros, Switzerland with 17.5 billion Euros, China with 16.7 billion Euros, and Turkey with 9.9 billion Euros, respectively.

The countries that exported the most to the EU were determined as China with 45.4 billion Euros, the USA with 28.1 billion Euros, the UK with 13.5 billion Euros, Switzerland with 12.5 billion Euros, and Turkey with 8.1 billion Euros.
