Ex-husband causes chaos in Marmaris
In an incident in the Marmaris district of Muğla, a mother and her two children, who were trapped in a house set on fire by her ex-husband, were rescued at the last moment. While the house engulfed in flames became unusable, the attacker was taken into custody.
Tense moments occurred during the night on 500th Street in the Camiavlu neighborhood of Marmaris. According to allegations, an individual whose name has not been disclosed arrived at the home of his ex-wife, from whom he had separated some time ago. The individual, who set fire to a bottle filled with gasoline he had brought with him, deliberately set the house on fire.
The mother and her two daughters took refuge in the bathroom in a panic as the fire grew rapidly. Trapped amidst the flames, the family called the 112 Emergency Call Center via mobile phone to request help.
Fire, medical, and police teams arrived at the scene in a short time, both intervening in the flames and evacuating the trapped mother and her children from the building. After firefighting efforts that lasted approximately two hours, it was determined that there was no loss of life or injury, but a large part of the house became unusable.
The ex-husband, identified as the suspect, was caught by the police in a short time and taken into custody. It was reported that his processing at the police station is ongoing. The judicial investigation launched following the incident is continuing.
