Extreme demands in the commission while the focus is on the CHP: 'Right to hope' for the terrorist leader, amnesty for those in the mountains

While the detention of CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continues, mayors have been arrested and sent to prison in parallel operations targeting numerous CHP-run municipalities.

The judicial operation against the CHP was not limited to municipalities. The agenda was also occupied for a long time by the CHP's convention lawsuit.

In addition to all this intensity, the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly as part of the new reconciliation process called 'Terror-Free Turkey,' continues its work.

With the start of the commission's work, discussions on the 'right to hope' for terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan were brought to the agenda, and slogans in favor of the terrorist leader were even chanted under the roof of the Parliament.

However, pro-government channels ignored the scandal that took place under the roof of the Parliament and covered up Turkey's real agenda by discussing the operations against the CHP and the convention lawsuit.

The commission, which has been continuing its work for 2.5 months, has met 15 times during this period and heard representatives from 128 different organizations.

The Ministers of National Defense and Interior, along with the head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), will make presentations to the commission in a closed-door meeting.

According to a report by Sözcü, legal changes are expected to come to the agenda after this stage. Negotiations will begin on many issues, including the 'right to hope,' amnesty for those in the mountains, the right to engage in politics for PKK members, and even 'amnesty for Apo.'

EXTREME DEMANDS IN THE COMMISSION

In addition to reasonable proposals, extreme demands have also been brought to the agenda in the commission to date. It was requested that PKK leader Öcalan be allowed to benefit from the 'right to hope,' that terrorists in the mountains be allowed to reintegrate into society without trial and be granted a salary, and that no objections be raised against the autonomous structure of the YPG in northern Syria.
