New security measures are being implemented for withdrawing money from ATMs and opening bank accounts. Within the scope of the Judicial Reform Strategy, a facial recognition system will be integrated into ATMs. From now on, individuals who cannot be detected by security cameras will not be able to perform withdrawal transactions.

SECURITY CAMERAS WILL STORE RECORDS FOR TWO YEARS

During transactions made at ATMs, facial images recorded by security cameras will be stored for at least two years. This step aims to provide more effective protection against fraud and cybercrimes.

ACCOUNTS CANNOT BE OPENED WITHOUT A CHIP-ENABLED ID

A mandatory requirement for chip-enabled ID cards is also being introduced when opening bank accounts. This regulation is designed to prevent crimes such as identity theft and fraud.

Within the framework of the Judicial Reform Strategy, banks and mobile operators will be subject to new obligations. In crimes committed through banking and information systems, accounts linked to the crime will be suspended, and the victim's losses will be reimbursed.

PENALTIES WILL BE IMPOSED ON BANKS

Administrative fines will be imposed on banks and financial institutions that do not deliver documents requested by a prosecutor or judge within 10 days.

Perform your transaction in a secure environment.

Check your surroundings while entering your PIN code.
