Fahrettin Altun: 'We condemn the Israeli administration for targeting journalists'

Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun condemned the Israeli administration in a statement on his X account.

In his post, Altun reacted to Israel's targeting of reporters who are broadcasting Israel's attacks on Gaza to the world.

Altun stated, "We condemn the Israeli administration for targeting journalists who were reporting on the latest hostage exchange, firing plastic bullets at them, and throwing gas and smoke grenades."

Fahrettin Altun said the following in his post:

"Israel, which has been disregarding international law for days and murdering journalists who report the developments in Gaza to the world, continues to use illegitimate methods.

We condemn the Israeli administration for targeting journalists who were reporting on the latest hostage exchange, firing plastic bullets at them, and throwing gas and smoke grenades.

Israel must immediately stop its attacks on the innocent Palestinian people, as well as journalists, healthcare workers, and aid workers, and must comply with international law.

As the Republic of Türkiye's Presidency's Directorate of Communications, we are closely monitoring the situation of the journalists who were attacked."
