The investigation into the copying of electronic signatures belonging to public institutions in Ankara to issue fake diplomas and driver's licenses is deepening. In this context, an indictment has been prepared against 65 more suspects. A prison sentence of up to 50 years has been requested for each of the suspects.

The new indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office states that the suspects, who exploited system vulnerabilities, gained unauthorized access to the digital infrastructures of universities and tampered with graduation information, academic grades, associate professorship applications, and diploma data.

Within the scope of the investigation, a large number of people, from lawyers to food engineers, and from teachers to pharmacists, obtained academic titles and diplomas they did not actually possess through illegal means.

As reported by Habertürk, the detailed activities of the suspects, who used illegal methods such as fake diplomas, fake e-signatures, unauthorized system access, and grade manipulation to obtain positions in public institutions, have been revealed one by one.

While some individuals increased their grade point averages from 1.29 to 3.29, others were shown as having graduated from universities where they were never enrolled. Serious irregularities were also detected in the production of e-signatures.

Abdullah Volkan Uçak

Created a fake graduation record from Ege University's Psychology undergraduate and Clinical Psychology master's programs. Issued fake e-signatures in the names of Işıl Gerekul Kırova and Adem Akış. His name does not appear in YÖK (Council of Higher Education) records. He performed graduation inquiries via his own mobile phone line.

Abdülhamit Kayıhan Osmanoğlu

– Fake graduation record

Shown as a graduate of the Inönü University History Department. In reality, there is no record. He performed graduation inquiries from his own mobile phone line. A separation decision was made regarding his case.

Adnan Taşdemir
