Family tragedy in Küçükçekmece: Father who killed his wife stabbed by his son

In the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighborhood of Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, on Karanfil Street, a tragic incident occurred in which a foreign national man stabbed his wife to death during an argument. 

The son, who was at home at the time of the incident, witnessed his mother's death and subsequently attacked his father, stabbing him and leaving him critically injured.

Following reports from local residents, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. 

The teams determined that the woman had lost her life, and it was discovered that the son had been waiting by the body. The young man was taken into custody and brought to the police station for questioning.

SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN ON THE STREET

Extensive security measures were taken on the street. Following the teams' investigations, the woman's body was transported to the Council of Forensic Medicine morgue for an autopsy.

The critically injured father was given initial treatment by medical teams and then taken to the hospital by ambulance for further care.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
