Fatih Altaylı hits back at Soylu: 'Know your place! Don't make me lose my temper...'

Former Interior Minister and AKP Istanbul MP Süleyman Soylu targeted journalists during an appearance on a YouTube channel.

Stating that 550 negative columns had been written about him in the last 10 months, Soylu remarked, "Friends like Timur Soykan, Murat Ağırel, and Fatih Altaylı are not aware of what they are serving."

"HE SHOULD KNOW HIS PLACE, HE SHOULDN'T MAKE ME LOSE MY TEMPER"

Fatih Altaylı gave a harsh response to Soylu's remarks.

Evaluating the agenda on his own YouTube channel, Altaylı said, "First of all, I am not his friend; he cannot refer to me as a friend. He should know his place and not make me lose my temper! I thought Süleyman Bey was an intelligent person, but I see I was wrong. Intelligent people understand what they watch and listen to. Either Süleyman Bey didn't watch the broadcast, or he doesn't have the capacity to understand it when he does."

Altaylı continued his remarks as follows:

"EITHER YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR EYES OR YOUR EARS"

"After the broadcast, I wondered, did I protect Süleyman Soylu too much? I didn't want everything to be linked to Süleyman Soylu. It is wrong to draw something negative from this broadcast; for the first time in ten months, something was said in his favor. To not see something so clear means you must have a problem with your eyes or your ears."

"WE HAVE NO FEARS AND NO RESERVATIONS"

"He said 'a journalist named Fatih Altaylı' last time; I have no objection to that, but I am not his friend. After this broadcast, Süleyman Soylu called one of the friends who participated in the program and said he had a right of reply, and that friend told him that Fatih Bey's broadcast is open to you.

Süleyman Bey said, 'Let me think about it.' Let him come and explain whatever he wants. We have no fears and no reservations."
