As the local elections approach, CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayoral Candidate Burcu Köksal's remarks regarding the DEM Party have become the main agenda of politics.

In her speech at the opening of her election coordination center, Köksal stated, "When I am elected, the doors of the municipality will be open to every party except the DEM Party."

Köksal's words also caused controversy within the party. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, without naming her, said about Köksal, "She will either find herself another job or another party."
