Academic Fatih Yaşlı harshly criticized the candidates for using anthems and songs identified with the left at the 38th CHP Ordinary Congress
Academic, author, and journalist Fatih Yaşlı made a striking assessment regarding the CHP congress.
CHP chairmanship candidate Özgür Özel greeted party members with the song "Ey Özgürlük" (Oh Freedom), while immediately after him, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu greeted them with an adapted version of the Gündoğdu March.
Reacting to these choices, Fatih Yaşlı criticized the CHP chairmanship candidates for using songs and marches identified with the left.
Yaşlı stated the following: "Those who market right-wing politics to society under the guise of winning elections outside are competing over leftism among themselves inside; how nice."
