FETÖ operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs!
As part of an Ankara-based FETÖ investigation, detention warrants have been issued for 25 Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees, including those previously dismissed, on the grounds that they used ByLock.
A comprehensive operation has been carried out targeting the secret structure of FETÖ within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within the scope of the investigation conducted in 8 provinces centered in Ankara, proceedings have been initiated against a total of 25 individuals, 19 of whom were previously dismissed from their duties.
The operation, coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau, was launched following joint work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Action was taken after it was determined that the suspects used ByLock, the encrypted communication tool of FETÖ.
The following statements were included in the announcement regarding the operation:
"In accordance with the instructions given within the scope of the investigations conducted by our Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism Crimes Investigation Bureau into the secret structure of the FETÖ/PYD armed terrorist organization within the Foreign Ministry; as a result of coordinated work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was determined that the suspects, who were found to have used the organization's secret communication tool, the ByLock messaging program, had engaged in correspondence regarding their organizational activities in the examined ByLock message contents, that these activities were described in detail in the effective remorse statements taken, and that there were records of them being called sequentially from payphones/fixed lines,
it is understood that 19 of the suspects were dismissed from their profession due to their membership or connection with the organization while working at various levels within the Foreign Ministry, 4 of them have active employment records in the relevant institution, and 2 of them in different institutions, and therefore, a decision has been made to detain a total of 25 suspects simultaneously in 8 provinces, centered in Ankara, as of 08.07.2025. Operations to apprehend the suspects and refer them to our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are being continued by the teams of the Ankara Provincial Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch."
