It has been announced that 73 suspects were apprehended in operations carried out against FETÖ across 16 provinces, which have been ongoing for 4 days.
Making a statement regarding the operation on his social media account, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated, "As a result of the work carried out by the Provincial Security Directorates' Anti-Terror (TEM) and Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) branches, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, the Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), and the Counter-Terrorism Department; 73 suspects were apprehended in the 'Kıskaç-23' operations organized against FETÖ in Ankara, Çorum, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Edirne, İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Kırşehir, Kütahya, Mersin, Malatya, Rize, Samsun, and Sivas. It was determined that the suspects were active within the organization's so-called 'Police Secret Structure and Current Structure,' that there were statements against them regarding being given exam questions in advance within the scope of individual exam investigations, that they were coded as advantageous in interviews, that they communicated via payphones and were users of the organization's crypto communication program 'ByLock,' that their names were mentioned in testimonies and identifications, and that they had finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants against them within the scope of FETÖ investigations."
