FETÖ operation in 29 provinces: Many arrests made

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 49 people were detained and 39 of them were arrested in operations conducted against FETÖ in 29 different provinces over the last 10 days.

According to the information provided by Minister Yerlikaya, gendarmerie teams carried out simultaneous operations in Adana, Adıyaman, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Bolu, Bursa, Denizli, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzurum, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Karaman, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Manisa, Mersin, Muğla, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Samsun, Siirt, Sinop, and Yozgat.

In our operations against FETÖ that have been ongoing for the last 10 days by our Gendarmerie in 29 provinces; we have apprehended 49 suspects??

?? 39 of them have been ARRESTED. The proceedings for the others are ongoing.

It has been determined that the suspects;
??Were active within the current structure of the terrorist organization,

It was determined that the suspects apprehended within the scope of the investigations played an active role in the organization's current structure, established contact with organization leaders via payphones, provided financial support to so-called aid associations close to the organization, and engaged in propaganda via social media.

Furthermore, a large number of digital materials and organizational documents were seized during the operations.
