Fines for supermarkets selling expired products

During inspections of 18 supermarkets, the Zonguldak Municipality imposed fines on 2 markets for price discrepancies between shelves and registers, and on 2 others for selling expired products.

Fines for supermarkets selling expired products

Municipal police teams affiliated with the Zonguldak Municipality conducted inspections in the city center. 

During their inspections of 18 supermarket businesses, the teams imposed fines on 2 markets for price discrepancies between shelves and registers, and on 2 others for selling expired products. The statement issued by the municipality included the following remarks;

"As a result of the inspections of 'Supermarket Businesses' located within our municipality's area of responsibility, conducted by our Municipal Police Directorate teams on 02.01.2024, a total of 18 supermarket businesses were inspected. Administrative fine reports were prepared in accordance with the relevant articles of the Municipal Orders and Prohibitions Regulation for 2 market businesses due to price discrepancies between shelves and registers, and for 2 market businesses due to offering products with expired shelf lives for sale. Furthermore, the inspected businesses were warned to comply with general rules and to complete any missing requirements."
