Fire at BRSA building in Istanbul Financial Center extinguished
A fire broke out on the floor housing the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) at the Istanbul Financial Center. It was reported that personnel in the building were evacuated.
A fire broke out in the building of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) located in the Istanbul Financial Center. Following the incident, personnel inside the building were evacuated. No statement has been made yet regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the material damage.
Upon notification, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the area. The fire was brought under control and extinguished in a short time.
'THERE IS NO SECURITY ISSUE'
In a statement made by Halkbank, it was noted that the fire broke out outside of working hours at 04:18, and the following statements were included:
"A fire occurred due to a technical malfunction in the storage area on the -5th basement floor of our Istanbul Financial Center (IFM) main building. The fire was brought under control in a short time thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire department, and cooling efforts have been successfully completed. There were no injuries in the incident, and there is no security issue regarding our building. Our bank continues its services without interruption."
