Fire breaks out in grassy area in Manisa

A fire of undetermined origin broke out this morning in the Hamalın Kırı area of Çobanisa Neighborhood in the Şehzadeler district of Manisa. Upon receiving reports from citizens who saw smoke in the area, numerous teams were dispatched to the scene.

The İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry intervened in the fire from the air with one helicopter, while three fire trucks and one water tanker were deployed for ground operations. The Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department prevented the flames from spreading with its rapid response on the ground.

A fertilizer factory was located near the area where the fire occurred. As a result of the rapid and coordinated efforts of the teams, the flames were extinguished before they could reach the area where the factory is located.

It was noted that there were beehives in the area affected by the fire, and some hives were damaged. While authorities are conducting cooling operations in the region, it was reported that the exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
