Fired a rifle from an apartment window

In the incident that took place in the morning hours in the Yıldıztepe neighborhood of Nazilli, an individual identified as M.Ç., who resides in the top-floor apartment of a three-story building, opened fire randomly from the window for reasons yet to be determined. As the sound of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood, local residents experienced great fear and reported the situation to the police.

A large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene in a short time. In the first stage, the teams evacuated nearby citizens to a safe zone and closed the street to traffic. M.Ç., who was inside the house with a weapon, refused to surrender despite the police's calls and continued to fire.

Following this development, at the request of the Nazilli District Police Department, special operations police were sent to the scene. Fully equipped teams took comprehensive security measures around the building. A negotiation process was initiated to prevent the suspect from harming others.

After approximately one hour of persuasion efforts, the negotiations conducted by the special operations teams were successful, and M.Ç. laid down his weapon and surrendered. The suspect was safely taken into custody and transported to the police station for processing.

It was reported that there were no injuries in the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine why the individual in question engaged in such an act. The teams' investigation is ongoing.
