First commercial taxi inspection of the year conducted in Taksim
During an inspection of commercial taxis by traffic police in Taksim Square, 5 drivers were fined a total of 32,195 TL because their vehicle operating licenses were suspended. The vehicles were towed to a parking lot.
Traffic police affiliated with the Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch conducted an inspection of taxi drivers in Taksim Square.
During the inspection, the teams stopped vehicles to check documents and conducted examinations regarding seat belts, the use of taximeters, and whether drivers were refusing passengers.
In the operation, 5 taxi drivers were fined 6,439 TL each, totaling 32,195 TL, because their municipal operating licenses were suspended.
The taxis were towed to a parking lot.
