First statement from AKP following the Super Cup crisis
Following the Super Cup crisis in Saudi Arabia, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe decided not to take the field, and the match was canceled. The first statement regarding this crisis has come from the AKP.
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a post on his social media account regarding the issue.
In his post featuring a photograph of Atatürk, Ömer Çelik stated,
"Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is our country's founding leader and a shared value. We thank all our citizens who have shown sensitivity regarding Atatürk."
